Ken Gaidos – Wood Turner

They say the best way to stay young at heart is to try new things. Well the man you're about to meet has found his own fountain of youth in his own backyard. Susan Watson traveled to Nolensville to see how ordinary wood becomes extraordinary art in the hands of Ken Gaidos.

Susan Watson has been involved with Tennessee Crossroads, both behind and in front of the camera, since 1988. A Middle Tennessee native, Watson studied Spanish in high school and became interested in Mexican culture. She occasionally traveled to Mexico to teach English to middle-school children.
