Hurricane Katrina caused hundreds of people to flee New Orleans, LA and the gulf coast. Many of those displaced settled in Tennessee. One woman who fled the storm decided Nashville would be a wonderful place to continue her artwork. Charles Haston began painting at the tender age of 55, with brushes from Walmart, and never looked back.
