Mid-South Live Steamers

Early in 2014, Crossroads aired a special called “Riding the Rails.” The show is all about railroad culture in Tennessee and features our visit with a group called the MN Steamers. Recently we made a return trip to the Columbia, TN park where club member engineers were sharing the joy of riding the rails, in a small way. Early in 2014, Crossroads aired a special called "Riding the Rails." The show is all about railroad culture in TN and features our visit with a group called the MN Steamers. Recently we made a return trip to the Columbia park where club member engineers were sharing the joy of riding the rails, in a small way.

Located inside Maury County Park in Columbia TN. There are free public rides during three events each year. Spring Meet: 5/02/19 to 5/04/19. 10am-4pm. Fall Meet: 9/26/19 to 9/28/19. 10am-4pm. Winter Meet: 10/18/19 to 10/19/19. 10am-2pm.

Joe Elmore has been the host of this Emmy-award winning series since its beginnings. As the face of Tennessee Crossroads, Joe has been taking viewers to meet interesting people and explore fascinating out-of-the-way places since 1987. Joe is also a producer and co-host of Horsepower TV on Spike TV. Joe launched his TV career at WHBQ TV in Memphis, TN, where he served as weekend anchor and reporter. Later, he was chosen to co-host the station's PM Magazine show, where he produced nationally-broadcast stories. He has also done extensive work as an independent film and video producer for clients throughout the Southeast.
