Lotz House

Carnton Plantation and the Carter House are two of Franklin's famous Civil War landmarks, each having played a part in the pivotal Battle of Franklin in 1864. Now history buffs have another historic destination to explore, as Susan Watson found out on a recent visit to the Lotz House.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 1pm-4pm; Closed on holidays.

Susan Watson has been involved with Tennessee Crossroads, both behind and in front of the camera, since 1988. A Middle Tennessee native, Watson studied Spanish in high school and became interested in Mexican culture. She occasionally traveled to Mexico to teach English to middle-school children.
