As you pass by a place you've never been, do you ever wonder about the people who lived there long ago? Whole ways of life have disappeared without a trace they ever even existed. That might have happened in the town of Dunlap near Chattanooga if some of the people there hadn't gotten together to make sure a big part of their past was preserved. Rob Wilds visited some of those people at the place they created: The Coke Museum in Dunlap.

Info: Directions: The Historic Coke Ovens Park is located 1 mile west of downtown Dunlap. If headed south on U.S. 127 through Dunlap, turn right on Cherry Street at the one and only downtown traffic light. Cross over railroad tracks and follow the signs to the Coke Ovens. From Chattanooga, TN take US 27 to Dunlap exit via state highway 111 west. Call for museum hours and to schedule a tour. The Coke Ovens Bluegrass Festival runs June.
